Explore Royal Botanical Gardens featuring over 2700 acres of breathtaking gardens and nature sanctuaries.

Gardens Admission tickets can be redeemed on any day of operation.
Weekend Wildflower Walks
Every Saturday and Sunday at 1:30 and 3 p.m. (weather permitting) at the locations noted below, from May through August.
FREE with admission (RBG members free)

As part of our special Green Legacy exhibit, we invite our visitors to join us for free guided wildflower walks this spring. Get to know our beautiful spring ephemerals – flowers that appear, bloom and finish their life cycle in a matter of weeks. Something new is always coming into bloom at RBG! (Check What’s in Bloom for weekly updates).

May 3 to June 15: Meet at the Nature Interpretive Centre (Arboretum) to explore Captain Cootes Trail (trail is hilly and uneven).

June 21 to August 31: Meet in front of the Rose Garden Tea House (Hendrie Park) to explore the Kippax Garden (trail is fully accessible).
Get Back to Nature Walks
Every Sunday (including holiday weekends), September through May, 2 p.m.; June through August, 10 a.m. at the locations noted below.
FREE (donations welcome)

Every walk is a different adventure!
1st Sunday of every month: Hendrie Valley; meet at Cherry Hill Gate parking lot
2nd: Princess Point; meet at the parking lot
3rd: Cootes North Shore; meet at the Nature Centre
4th: Cootes South Shore; meet at the Aviary parking lot on Oak Knoll Drive, Hamilton
5th: Rock Chapel; meet at the parking lot

NOTE: Walks are typically 1.5 to 2 hours in length. Our trails are rocky and muddy and not suitable for most standard strollers, except those meant for off-sidewalk use. In the event of inclement weather, call our Program Update Line at 905-527-1158 ext. 404.
